Various Açaí Purée Recipes That You Can Try at Home!
Fruits have always been great sources of nutrients, vitamins, and antioxidants for humans. They also improve productivity and well-being. Many health experts even recommend consuming fruits on a daily basis to protect us from various diseases and for staying healthy. In addition to this, there is another well-known superfood called “Açaí” which has a great impact on overall health and also has some essential nutrients that promote weight loss and is good for the heart.
The açaí berry also pronounced “ah-sigh-EE”, is a one-inch round, reddish-purple fruit grown in açaí palm trees of the Amazon rainforest, that is high in energy and is richer in antioxidants than other fruits like cranberries, blueberries, or strawberries. Also, açaí plays an important role to address various health conditions as it contains - Omega fatty acids, healthy fats, fibres, and is a good source of protein.
Açaí would be the best choice to eat daily for breakfast, as it has the potential to fuel our bodies and help us stay energetic throughout the day. There are a few açaí recipes that you can try at your home which are delicious, healthy, and are easy to prepare.
1. Açaí Bowl
- 150 g Açaí Purée (about 1 cup)
- 2 cups of Frozen Mixed Berries
- 1 Frozen Banana
- 1 cup of Milk
- ½ cup of Yoghurt (optional)
- Chopped Strawberries
- 1 Sliced Banana
- ¼ Cup Granola
- 2 tbsp. Peanut Butter
- The very first thing that you should do is to freeze the fruits. For that, slice a banana and move it to a baking sheet. On the same baking sheet, add in the berries and put them inside the freezer, until they get frozen.
- Later, add milk and yoghurt (optional) to the large bowl. Then transfer all frozen fruits and açaí purée to a bowl and with the help of a tamper, push all the fruits down so they can mix well.
- Once adding all ingredients, blend it thoroughly until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
- Scoop the same into a bowl and add toppings listed in the ingredients, and guess what? You’re ready to serve!
2. Açaí Smoothie
- 4 tbsp. of Açaí Powder
- 2 Frozen Bananas
- 1/2 cup frozen Strawberries
- 1/2 cup frozen Raspberries
- 1 tbsp. of Hemp Seeds
- 1 cup of Almond Milk
- Combine all ingredients including açaí powder in a bowl and transfer them into a blender.
- Blend it until you achieve smooth texture and consistency. This process will make the smoothie even better and will provide a great experience.
- Once done, transfer the smoothie into a bowl and serve.
3. Açaí Pancake
- 200 g of Açaí Purée
- 1½ cup of Oats
- 1 cup of unsweetened Almond Milk
- 1 large Banana
- 2 tbsp. Butter
- Strawberries or any other berries
- Maple Syrup
- Take 1½ cup of oats and add it into a blender and pulse it.
- Pour in the milk with banana and blend until you get a sticky batter.
- After that add the Açaí Purée into the blender and blend.
- Then take a pan, add butter, and heat on medium flame.
- Later pour the batter into the pan. You can use ¼ cup of batter for each pancake.
- Cook the batter until you see bubbles forming around the edges.
- Flip the pancake to cook the other side as well.
- Lastly, top with berries and syrup to enhance the flavour.
